Fermentation quality of ratoon rice fermented with fermented juice of epiphytic lactic acid bacteria from tropicalgrass

Abstract This study aimed to determine the quality of fermented ratoon paddy silage as ruminant feed. The material was obtained from rice fields in Sukoharjo, Central Java, Indonesia. Turiang padi ( Oryza sativa ) at cutting age 14 days, with Inpari 32 variety. addition an accelerator Lactic Acid Bacteria or FJLB (fermented juice epiphityc lactic acid bacteria) Elephant Grass Extract Pennisetum purpureum and Odot CV. Mott were incubated for 2 days. research conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) 5 replications each treatment. treatments consisted no additives (T1), elephant grass (T2) odot (T3). added much 1% fresh weight. Silage fermentation carried out 21 days room temperature. All data analyzed R Studio program. Flieg point value showed good very range. Butyric production is low still within standard limits. higher (P<0.05) which received additional additive FJLB. It could be concluded that able improve rice.
